Matthew and Sara are a really great couple that like to have fun. They are self-professed gamers and love coffee and their cats. We even joked that their cat could be the ring bearer in the wedding! They wanted an early morning engagement session, which I had never done before, so they got to be my first. The light of the just risen sun and trees full of spring blooms made for a pretty setting. It was little chilly in the early morning air, but the cozy sweaters Sara and Matthew wore coordinate well with their wedding colors!

We started the engagement session around the land where their future home is. The location was a photographers dream with a barn, pond, lots of textures, and great lighting. There was a nearby dock where Matthew took Sara when they first started dating, so we got some shots there. After taking some photos in the stunning morning light around the farm, we went over to a new coffee shop in Fairview. The owners were gracious and welcoming and allowed us to take some candid photos of Sara and Matthew enjoying their coffee. (You should check them out! First District Coffee Co.) The neat vintage-themed décor looks great and Sara said the location was a good blend of the two of them: vintage and coffee. We had a great time during their session. We had a lot of laughs and they were fun to be around. Plus, they were fantastic models. I am looking forward to shooting their wedding in November!

Check out some of my favorite photos from their session and let them know how awesome they were!
