Grace Ann and Adam had a wonderful morning wedding just outside of Nashville, TN. I was glad to be their photographer to capture all the moments that were important to them. It rained on their wedding day but we were able to grade some bridal party photos, bride and groom photos, and family photos outside before it started. Their wedding photography turned out great. See the pictures below from their morning wedding. They had breakfast foods at their reception. It was the first time I have seen this done and it was AMAZING! The reception and the wedding ceremony took place at Hillsboro church of Christ. It was a great wedding venue for their wedding. The groom and groomsmen wore blue pin striped tux’s that were sharp. I really liked their wedding colors as well. I was glad to be their Nashville wedding photographer. Let me know what you think of the Nashville wedding pictures below!
From time to time you will have to shoot in the hot summer or cold winter and naturally your clients cheeks will turn red. This really stinks because you can’t always stop the shoot till the redness goes away. At weddings you are shooting on a pretty strict timetable and there is not much room in your timeline to take a break and wait it out. So there is the old saying we will “Fix it in post” and move on. So how do we fix red skin in adobe Lightroom? My first thought with fixing red skin was to just turn down the saturation in the red channel. This didn’t work out because it changes everything red in the picture and I only need to tone down the red cheeks and nothing else. So I then ventured over to the awesome brush tool in Lightroom. There isn’t an option to just desaturate reds using the brush (at least not in LR 5) which is a bummer. However by using basic color theory we can create a brush that will remove redness. It is super easy and I wish I had thought of this sooner. 1) Select your bush using the tint effect. […]
Leslie & Taylor found me via another wedding I shot a few years ago in Birmingham, Alabama. Taylor was one of the groomsmen in Rebecca & Charles’ wedding so he knew how I worked. I was excited when they wanted to set up a meeting with me to talk about their wedding! I am in Nashville, TN so we set up a FaceTime meeting since they live near Atlanta, GA. We planned an engagement session and their wedding plans over webcam/emails. I enjoy shooting out of state weddings because it allows me to take photos in places I have never been. Although I am primarily a Nashville wedding photographer I love to travel! The Wedding – Saturday, July 12, 2014 We began their wedding pictures at noon at Leslie’s parents home. This is where Leslie and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup beautified. Their makeup and hair artist was Jenn Humphries Makeup and she was excellent. When I walked in I noticed she had already started and had them in front of a big window with great lighting. Usually I have to beg the makeup/hair artists to move away from the ugly tungsten light or I am […]
Summer & Wayne were awesome during their engagement photo session. They kept us entertained the whole time. Saying they nailed their session is an understatement! I may be a little bias but I LOVE their engagement photos. I am also glad they want me to be their Nashville wedding photographer! The Corners on the River It was a long ride to their engagement session but it was totally worth it. They wanted to have their engagement pictures taken at their wedding venue: The Corners on the River in Readyville, TN. It is about an hour away from where I am located in Fairview. This gave me plenty of time to jam to some of my favorite music on the way. I have never shot at The Corners on the River but I have shot a wedding at Old Spencer Mill which is right down the road from them. During their engagement session Summer mentioned that the same owners own them both so we can shoot at both locations if we want. I arrived about 20 minuets early and checked out the venue. I was a bit overwhelmed because there were so many great spots to take photos. I always ask myself “What is the obvious shot […]
We enjoyed taking our friends Sharon and Trail’s engagement photos. Sharon and Trail wanted to have a country themed engagement session. They found a great location for the session that and a large field and a barn on the property. The location was near Leipers Fork, TN. All photo’s were taken in the Fernville, TN area. They were so great and natural in their photos. We are excited to be shooting their wedding on October 19th!
