How did you find me?

Shooting Style: I shoot a mix of candid and formal posed photos. While I am taking candid photos I am looking for smiles, tears, laughter, and little moments that capture the story of your wedding day. My formal photos typically include family groupings, bridal party, and bride and groom portraits. Bride and groom time is very laid back and fun. We will walk around to a few neat locations and snap photos. I will take some candids and posed shots here and there of the two of you. I will help you make a plan a few weeks prior to your wedding day of what photos you want and at what time. I am also here to help you with any scheduling questions as soon as you book.

Editing Style: I have a consistent style that I like to stick to. While other photographers may add many different unnatural color effects to their clients’ images, I like to maintain the quality and realistic look for my clients. I want your photos to last the test of time and not just the current trend. I spend a lot of time making sure your wedding photos have the correct colors, exposure, and ready for printing as soon as you get them. You will notice in my portfolio that everyone looks natural and not ‘over edited’ which is what I strive for. You will also receive rich black and white versions of each of your photos. To see examples of our quality and style, please visit my blog or portfolio.

From the moment I start taking your photos, there will multiple copies of each image. My camera shoots on two cards at once so that I have a backup in case one card fails. Once I get to my office, I load one of the cards on my raid system, which makes two more copies while I edit. Once I am finished editing, I will upload all the edited images to your PASS gallery where they will be backed up in the cloud for ten years.

I have shot in the darkest of dark chapels and reception halls so no need to worry! If the situation allows, I will set up additional lighting to ensure I get bright crisp pictures. Some chapels do not allow for flash photography; and for that reason, I shoot on camera’s with superb low-light performance and lenses with low apertures. This is where hiring a true professional comes handy.

Yes I do. Every image I deliver is post produced with my unique style of basic post production. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, black and white processing, clarity adjustments, and other corrections. Many photographers will not post produce any, or will only post produce “select” images from your wedding. This means that you may have pictures that are too dark, have strange skin tones, or other common photography flaws.

Photographer Josh Bennett

I have been a photographer since 2007 (10 years!) and I love it. Photography is an addiction for me. I enjoy wedding photography because it allows me to meet amazing people and tell their wedding story one photo at a time. I am very laid back and calm usually. I connect well with people who don’t like to be in front of the camera so I am able to get them comfortable and excited. I sympathize with them because I don’t like being in front of the camera either, which is why I became a photographer (just kidding). I usually end up being more than a photographer at weddings. I am more of a planner, director, advisor, problem solver, AND photographer. There is no better feeling than knowing I made someones wedding day better and stress free.
